Dark and Romantic.

Keeping with the Halloween theme, let's stay dark and romantic with today's post.
Most of the time nowadays in all the glossy mags you see all these models with such striking facial features but always such boring eye makeup. When did bold lipstick and minimal or no eyeshadow become the must have makeup? And why didn't I get the memo?

I think recently, bold statement eyes have been seriously overlooked. Personally, If I'm getting ready for a night out with the girls or a date night with My Partner, I don't feel like I've dressed up unless I've got my rich coloured eye shadow or at least a bold highlight and thick eye liner!

So, here are my favourite picks for STATEMENT EYES this autumn.

Mac Mineralize eye shadow, this metallic variation of the classic mineral eye shadows that we see in all our favourite big named brands is pure luxuriousness. In five glorious colours; Smutty Green, Young Punk, Guilt By Association, Blue Flame and Cinderfella. These are a must have for your Autumn/Winter looks! For block eyelids or smokey eyes, I would dash straight to your local MAC store and pick up this gem!

Next, something everyone should have in their make-up bag at all times is a Gel Eyeliner! This one by Bobbi Brown is a great basic for any look. Apply lavishly for a dramatic Cat eye or pair with a luxurious eyeshadow for a romantic Gothic look! And for just £6.00 this is an absolute bargain.

Lastly, my favourite right now is this compact duo eyebrow kit from Sleek. Great to finish off a look and really give your make-up that professional look. Another great thing about this nifty little kit is that it can take permanent home in your make-up bag, your new best friend for all seasons!

This is halloween!

So It's that time of year again! My absolute favourite day of the year. I don't know what it is about Halloween, maybe it's the cool outfits that I long to wear on a daily basis but are completely impractical because I shall always be that 15 year old little Goth child at heart, or maybe It's the fact that I love putting in funky contact lenses and scaring random people (Including my mother, who gets really freaked out by them). But anyway, I'll stop going off into a whirlwind of teenage angst now.
Here are three of my favourite Halloween looks for this year!

Firstly, the 'Sugar Skull' a fairly easy one for anyone who's not too keen on drenching themselves in fake blood or if you're on a budget! You can pretty much wear any romantic looking dress or skirt and top combo to pull off this look because this outfit is made by it's accessories. For the floral headband you can either pop to your nearest Primark or make it yourself and for the make-up you'll need a nifty hand, any coloured make-up you've got laying around and a youtube tutorial! Here's a few to help you out :-

Next is 'Poison Ivy' from Batman ofcourse. The picture I've chosen is obviously not the original but I picked this one because the costume has been made at home. This ones going to be slightly more hard on the bank account to do because you're going to need to buy a few things to customize whatever outfit you decide to attach the ivy too, and you're going to need a badass red wig! This costume on the other hand has more choices for personal preference when it comes to make-up. I will link below a tutorial but because the costume is going to be so strong, people will know who you are with or without make-up! (don't forget to find yourself a nice hunk to go as your batman, as the ultimate accessory!)

Lastly! something for the men and the ladies! take a scissors to your wardrobe, slap on some fake blood and get some liquid latex on your face! INSTANT ZOMBIE. I've linked an awesome make-up tutorial below!
Now I just have to decide which one I'm going to do myself! Photos to follow!

HAVE A GOOD HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

Welcome

Hey guys! My names Chelsea, I'm 21 and I live in Cardiff, South Wales (UK).
I'm starting this blog as more of a hobby than anything, I've always wanted to peruse a career in the fashion industry (in what sector I've always been undecided) but like so many others with this dream, I haven't had my 'big break' yet.
I work full time but plan on blogging as much as I can. My posts are mainly going to be my opinion on current trends, seasonal wardrobe changes and personal style choices. Hopefully when I get used to the dynamics of my blog I hope to include OOTD photo posts, shopping hauls and one day videos!
Anyways, I hope anyone reading this will enjoy whatever it is that I'll be posting.
Have a great day!
